At WonderCon last week, Dr. Randy Duncan (first author of the soon-to-be-released book The Power of Comics) attended WonderCon in San Francisco where Randy co-organizes the convention’s Comics Arts Conference scholarly sessions. While there, he came face to angry face with Bob the Angry Flower. Maybe this may have been Bob’s creator, a human called Steve Notley in a Bob the Angry Flower disguise, but we’d rather believe Randy met the real Bob.

If you search “Rocket Llama” on YouTube, you find something titled “Team Rocket Llama Song.” It’s not a song from Team Rocket Llama. It’s the Llama Song accompanied by Team Rocket images. Here’s a better recording of the song, though, with lyrics at the bottom so you can know what it actually says.

Earlier this month, the eponymous hero of Drew Desjardin’s series Two Cent Llama spent a week in a cape, starting with the January 12 comic. It’s not Rocket Llama. We know that. But boy, does it remind of us of certain Rocket Llama images, considering how cape-like that billowing red scarf looks the way Nick draws it sometimes.
